  1.  By completing our customer information form you are confirming that you are the rightful owner of the mobile phone(s) you are trading in or recycling, or that you have the permission of the owner(s) of such phone(s).
  2. The value displayed for each ‘working’ mobile phone is only valid for “functioning” mobile phones; this includes a working battery, switches on and off, that the display is intact and working, and in fairly good cosmetic condition; that the device is neither destroyed nor has suffered water damage, and that the mobile phone is the same make and model as selected on the online form submitted by you. SIM cards should not be sent with your phone, if received they will be destroyed. Chargers and other mobile accessories are accepted but do not increase the value of the mobile phone(s).
  3. To guarantee the value shown for each mobile phone on the website, you must send back your mobile phone(s) within 14 days of placing your order. Your return postage paid envelope will usually be posted to you within 24 hours of receiving your request. Only mobile phones shown on the website can be traded and the maximum number of phones that can be traded by any individual is 8 in any 12 month period. However, individuals can trade more on exceptional circumstances after they have contacted us and fulfilled some required declaration.
  4. If your phone is not featured on the website you can still submit it for recycling and we will advise you as appropriate regarding its value.
  5. Any payments due to your mobile phone will only be awarded once it has been verified that the phone matches the details of the online form submitted.
  6. On receipt of your mobile phone, we will send you a confirmation of receipt by email. If we receive a phone that does not match the details on the online form submitted (i.e. it is a different make or model or is a non-functioning phone or is in a different working condition as that stated on the information you provided on the online form) we will email you with a revised value or advise you that your phone does not satisfy the required conditions. If you do not wish to accept the revised value or continue with the trade, you must request by email that the phone be returned. This you must do within 48 hours of the email notifying you of the revised value. A £4.70 handling fee will be charged to return the phone using Special Delivery. If no request to return the phone is received within 48 hours, then the trade will continue with the revised value or the phone will be destroyed or otherwise disposed of at our option.
  7. When you complete the application details on the website you will have the option of either donating part or all of your mobile phone trade-in value to a chosen charity. Where you elect to donate the whole or part of the trade-in value of your phone(s) to a charity of your choice, we will usually pass it on within 28 days after the transaction date. We may also, at our own discretion, match your donation up to certain percentage not exceeding £100 per phone. We reserve the right to withdraw our matching charitable donations at any time.
  8.  The owner of the phone(s) is responsible for transferring or terminating any mobile phone contracts linked to the phone that is being traded. Ecoviva will not be responsible for any call costs arising before or after the phone is sent in, or arising in any other circumstances whatsoever. Should there be any call costs, or any such issues as may affect a smooth transaction, the applicant must resolve such issues before trading.
  9. The SIM card and any data cards should be removed from the phone otherwise they shall be destroyed. We will professionally dispose of all SIM and data cards sent in with the mobile phone(s). We will not be responsible for the loss of any data on any SIM or data card or the disclosure of any information in them.
  10. All mobile phones received are checked against a database of stolen phones. In the event that such a phone is received there will be no value for it and it will be handed over to the Police along with the senders contact details.
  11. All mobiles phones that did not meet our test requirement will be sent back to the sender, and they will be liable for the cost of postage.
  12.  We’ll send you a Free Certificate of Postage which you can get stamped at the Post Office. In the event that the phone is lost in the postal system, FCP will then cover you for up to £32 which should be claimed directly from Royal Mail. If the value of the mobile phone(s) is more than £32, we advise that they are sent to us via Special Delivery from the Post Office. This will enable you to track your phone until it arrives with us and minimises the risk of losing them. Ecoviva will not accept responsibility for phones that are not received or lost in transit.
  13.  All payments will be made by cheque, Paypal or bank transfer. All payments for completed transactions should be made within 1-7 days after your mobile phone was certified ‘functional’ or ‘approved’, and this we should confirm by an email.
  14.  Payments not received by the end of the 7th day after we have notified you that they have been made must be reported back to us via an email, which will include a proof of your ‘approved’ certificate for that particular transaction.
